3Dスキャナで獣医学素材を出力しました

ある獣医院の方からの依頼で、小型犬のCTスキャンデータ(DICOMという医療向けフォーマットになっている)をもとに、関節の病変部分を表現した骨格の3D出力の依頼を受けました。

実際のオペにあたって予行演習で使用するとのことです。

初めての経験なのでかなり試行錯誤しましたが、8Beatの3Dプリンターの性能上、可能な範囲での出力を試みて成果物を先ほどお渡ししました。
十分に満足いただける出来であったようで、安心しました。
非常にニッチな分野であると思うけど、3Dプリンタを稼働させて商業的な売上に結実した最初の記念すべき成果だと思っています。
